Christchurch -the “Garden City”, is a flat and very walkable place -only rent a car if you are planning to explore the region, otherwise public transport is available. Finding parking in the city centre is not a problem. Cantabrians walk, ride bikes, take the bus, ride shares and explore the central city on a historic tramway (recommended as an attraction -one route has dinner service included).
Christchurch International Airport is only 20′ from the City Centre and Conference Venue.
