“Machine Learning in 2024“

Abstract

This talk will focus on improving data for 3D representations of scenes, Digital Twins and more broadly Neural Computations.  The discussion will show how new approaches to data can reduce computation for many types of AI significantly.

Specifically for images and scenes I’ll show better and more sparse ways to represent 2D images and 3D scenes by representing the way light moves around the scene instead of ‘flat pixels’. 

Better data is already revolutionizing LLM’s and I’ll outline approaches to both improving training data sets and improving validation data sets.

Bio

David’s team develops the Umajin platform which is designed as a cloud and server technology with support for user interaction, 3D machine vision, AR, IoT and AI. The Umajin runtime has shipped over 30 million instances shipped with partners like NTT, PwC, Dell, HP, Intel and Sony.
